CAN, The Nepal Cricket Association has released the preliminary roster for the ACC Premier Cup, which begins on April 19. The competition, which will be hosting in Nepal, will serve as a qualifier for the Asia Cup, with the victor earning a berth in the following edition.
The tournament’s schedule and fixtures, which will take place in Nepal from April 18 to May 1, 2023, is finally published by ACC.
Nepal is in Group ‘A,’ which includes Oman, Qatar, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Group ‘B’ will form up of the UAE, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore, and Bahrain. The games will take place at the TU International Cricket Ground and the Mulpani Cricket Ground.
The tournament starts off on April 18 with Nepal playing against Malaysia at the TU Cricket Field. The host team will face Saudi Arabia in a single game at Mulpani Cricket Stadium.
The tournament winner will compete in Group A of the September 2023 Asia Cup against Pakistan and India. The top three Premier Cup clubs will get invitations to the ACC Emerging Cup, which will take place in July.
