Daley Blind joins Bayern Munich

Daley Blind, a defender from the Netherlands, has joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer for the rest of the season.

Daley Blind who is 32 now, had his contract with Ajax mutually terminated late last month and became a free agent.

Blind, an Amsterdam native, was in his second stint with Ajax, having spent the previous five seasons with the Eredivisie champions. This season, he appeared in 19 games across all competitions.

Blind previously played for Manchester United from 2014 to 2018.

Blind has 99 international caps for the Netherlands and was a member of the squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he scored in the Round of 16 against the United States.

Bayern Munich, who currently leads the Bundesliga table, returns from its winter break on January 20 against RB Leipzig.
