KFC responded to recent reports of Cristiano Ronaldo joining Saudi club Al-Nassr by trolling the forward on Twitter.
KFC brutally trolled Ronaldo savagely mocked the rumours Al-Nassr transfer
Kentucky Fried Chicken UK launched a scathing attack on Cristiano Ronaldo amid reports that he is in talks with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr.
The 37-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Manchester United by mutual consent last month. Following a turbulent few months at the club, his controversial interview with Piers Morgan proved to be the final straw for him.
Although Ronaldo’s future is uncertain, Al Nassr has been linked with him and has reportedly offered him a staggering €200 million per season on a two-and-a-half year contract.
KFC trolled the former Real Madrid star with a sarcastic tweet, saying he could be a backup to striker Vincent Aboubakar. According to the franchise’s UK account:
The tweet elicited a wide range of reactions from fans, with Ronaldo’s supporters dissatisfied while rival supporters rejoiced.
A move to Saudi Arabia would be a step back in Ronaldo’s impressive career, but Morgan claims that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is looking to join a UEFA Champions League club. Ronaldo wanted to leave Manchester United after their disastrous 2021-22 season, which saw them finish outside the top four in the Premier League.
However, he received no offers from any of Europe’s top clubs, forcing him to remain at Old Trafford, where his situation deteriorated under new manager Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman used Cristiano Ronaldo sparingly, limiting him to just 520 minutes of top-flight action, and his antics, such as storming down the pitch before the full-time whistle, didn’t help his cause either.
Just days later, the club announced that the two parties had agreed to terminate his contract, bringing Ronaldo’s second stint at the club to an end.
