Mbappe will play against Bayern Munich FC in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday.
The striker completed a full training session on Monday, following a lighter session on Sunday evening, when Le Parisien claimed that the Frenchman may play against the German champions. It was uncertain if he would be able to return to the team for the game against Bayern Munich. The fact that he finished the entire training session on Monday was a good indication for PSG, who have now announced that he will be present at the Parc des Princes.
For PSG, Kylian Mbappe was anticipating a three-week absence, but his early indications of recovery were promising. Although Christophe Galtier did not publicly support the Frenchman’s comeback on Saturday night and instead cautioned that he would not take any chances with Kylian Mbappe, it appears that the player’s improvement in training over the previous two days has persuaded his manager to start him in the match. It will provide PSG’s team a psychological lift as they presently lack confidence following recent defeats to Marseille (2-1) and Monaco (3-1) in the league and Coupe de France.
