Cricket Namibia has announced their 14-man squad for the ICC World Cup Cricket League 2 One-Day Tri-Series in Nepal. This is the third and final tri-series between Nepal, Namibia, and Scotland, with the first two taking place in Scotland and Namibia.
Gerhard Erasmus, the team’s regular captain, will lead the team, which will include a few new faces. Dawid Wiese, a veteran allrounder, is not on the roster. Namibia is in third place in the table, with 37 points from 30 games. The Eagles are aiming for a direct spot in the World Cup Qualifiers after finishing third in the tournament.
Namibia’s last visit to Nepal was in 2016. Nepal won both matches, chasing 196 and 240 runs, respectively. Six of the tour’s participants will return to Nepal for another tour.
Scotland, who leads the tournament with 46 points from 32 games, has already announced their squad for the tournament’s final series.
On the other hand, Nepal released their final 20 for the closed camp on Thursday, which included Sandeep Lamichhane. With 18 points from 24 matches, they are second from the bottom.
