Valencia CF and Gattuso terminated contract by mutual agreement.
The Spanish Club, Valencia CF has announced that the club and the first team coach, Gennaro Gattuso, have mutually agreed to end their contractual relationship on Monday, January 30th.
Los Che are 14th in La Liga heading into February after failing to win a league match since returning from the World Cup.
Gattuso has been under fire in recent weeks following defeats in the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Supercopa, with the Italian getting into an odd argument with a journalist following the weekend defeat at Real Valladolid.
Gattuso has only won five league games in less than seven months as relations between himself and owner Peter Lim have deteriorated.
Lim’s decision to fire Gattuso may meet with mixed reactions from fans. The fans who are still outraged by his continued involvement at the Estadio Mestalla.
Voro Gonzalez will take over as interim manager of Los Che for the seventh time when they travel to Real Madrid in midweek action.
