Hakim Ziyeck is seeking to go away from Chelsea

Hakim Ziyech, a Moroccan winger who has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge, is one of them. Following Memphis Depay’s departure to Atletico Madrid, he is in link with Barcelona. It is possibly as part of an exchange for Franck Kessie.

Chelsea’s high spending on Benoit Badiashile and Mykhaylo Mudryk may not have had an equal opposite reaction, but it does indicate that some players are likely to leave the club in the near future.

Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside that there was a strong possibility that he would leave this transfer window.

“Yes, Ziyech has options to leave in January – clubs like Everton and three others have been informed, Roma has inquired about him, but it will be difficult due to the salary.”

He made those remarks in his Daily Briefing column, but he was skeptical that Barcelona would be that team.

“Let’s see if Barcelona moves; it’s quiet right now, but Barça and Chelsea are two clubs to watch this week.”

Kessie in in a link with a move away from Barcelona for the past three months, despite only playing a minor role since his arrival. However, this is in stark contrast to consistent reports denying any desire to leave the club.

It would be a major surprise if Barcelona made a move for Hakim Ziyech. He only plays on the right side, where Barcelona already has Ousmane Dembele, preventing Raphinha from playing in his preferred position. Signing Ziyech would only exacerbate the situation.
