Marco Verratti is still out with a hamstring injury. He will be unable to play tomorrow against Lens.

Marco Verratti remained in the treatment room during Paris Saint-final Germain’s training session before tomorrow’s top-of-the-table clash with Lens. As the Italian continues to recover from a hamstring injury he will stay out for squad for several matches. The midfielder was also unavailable for the win over Nice last week.

Along with Nordi Mukiele, Neymar Jr., and Presnel Kimpembe, the Italian international is on the bench by right-back Timothée Pembélé. Verratti is recovering from a knee injury and remaining in the gym this morning.

The league leaders lead by six points as they host the Sang et Or on Saturday evening, with Franck Haise’s side capable of closing the gap to three points if they win the double over the reigning champions. PSG will be hoping to put behind them a tumultuous week of off-field news centered on accusations of racism leveled at Christophe Galtier and move one step closer to a record-breaking 11th league title.

Marco Verratti and other squad injury news update

PSG will be without defender Nordi Mukiele until the end of the season and midfielder Renato Sanches for several weeks. As the race for the French league title enters its final stretch they will lack major players.

PSG leads second-place Lens by six points with eight games remaining this season. PSG have lost five league games since the turn of the year. Marseille is eight points behind third-placed PSG.

Mukiele requires surgery for a serious hamstring injury, according to PSG.

“To reduce the risk of recurrence, the Paris Saint-Germain medical staff chose an operation,” the club said, adding that the operation would take place in Finland on Tuesday.

The league leaders are six points ahead of the Sang et Or as they host them on Saturday night. But Franck Haise‘s team has a chance to cut the deficit to three points if they defeat the defending champions twice. In order to advance toward a record-breaking 11th league championship, PSG will be hoping to put behind them a turbulent week of off-field news centered on accusations of racism leveled at Christophe Galtier.
