Benzema and Camavinga will miss Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Girona on Tuesday, with Carlo Ancelotti hoping for a return by the weekend.
Karim Benzema and Eduardo Camavinga will miss Tuesday’s LaLiga match against Girona. The Head Coach, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed the news.
Ancelotti expects the pair to be available for Saturday’s home game against Almeria before the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna. He is also expecting both at the Champions League semi-final against Manchester City.
David Alaba is also likely to make his return for the Osasuna game on May 6. He missed Saturday’s 2-0 win over Celta Vigo.
Ancelotti ran through the players he will be missing as his team attempts to close the gap on leaders Barcelona at a press conference on Monday.
“Benzema and Camavinga are out, and [Dani] Ceballos has accumulated cards,” he explained. “Camavinga played the entire game [vs. Celta], but he felt some discomfort from a knock.” They should be available for Almeria, in my opinion.
