Vincent Kompany has agreed to replace Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich, according to Bild, Sky, and The Guardian.
According to leading German and English media sites, Burnley manager Vincent Kompany might become the next manager of Bayern Munich. According to the German tabloid Bild, the network Sky, and the English daily The Guardian, Kompany has agreed to replace Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich.
As a result, the German club is currently working on a compensation deal for Burnley, where Kompany has four years remaining on his contract.
Burnley was demoted from the Premier League after just one season.
Bayern opted to part ways with Tuchel in February after trailing eventual champions Bayer Leverkusen in the title fight.
Kompany is the most recent addition to Bayern’s extensive list of potential candidates.
Bayern Munich’s interest was reportedly rejected down by Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann, and Austria manager Ralf Rangnick.
Bayern then wanted to retain Tuchel, who had led them to a Champions League semi-final defeat to Real Madrid. However, Tuchel stated that the parties “could not reach an agreement” on his stay in the Bavarian capital.
