Aaron Ramsdale | Arsenal are preparing to sell the English Goalkeeper at the end of the season, according to reports.
According to Football Insider, the Gunners are set to part ways with the English shot-stopper following Mikel Arteta’s decision to make David Raya the team’s number one.
Aaron Ramsdale, who hasn’t started any of Arsenal’s last nine league or Champions League games since losing his starting spot to Raya in the summer, is said to want to leave the club.
And, with his manager refusing to reinstate him, Ramsdale, who has been linked with a surprise move to rivals Chelsea, is thought to be desperate to find a new club willing to offer him more first-team football.
With a current market value of around £30 million (TM) and up to four years left on his contract, Arsenal will know that the ball is in their court when it comes to future negotiations, but pricing the goalkeeper out of a summer move could risk upsetting the squad’s dynamic.
Ramsdale, who has four senior international caps, has kept 31 clean sheets in 84 appearances in all competitions since joining from Sheffield United just over two years ago.
