Liverpool is yet to make the confirmation of the transfer amount. According to a report, the transfer will cost £35 million. The fee is a steal. But it fulfills the release provision in Mac Allister’s contract with Brighton before to the World Cup. This extension kept him from becoming a free agent this month.

Mac Allister, 24, is the ideal target for Liverpool, having made 160 first-team games. When they moved to Merseyside, Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Diogo Jota were all of the same age and experience. The plea also included Mac Allister’s effort to establish himself as a top player for club and country, as well as his ability to play in numerous midfield spots and his game intelligence.

“It’s a dream come true.”
“It’s amazing to be here, and I can’t wait to start,” Mac Allister, who will wear the No. 10 jersey, said.

“Since I won the World Cup, I said that I want to win more trophies, and I think that this club will help me to do that,” he remarked, referring to Liverpool’s rich history.

After attracting extensive interest during the World Cup, when he steadily established himself as a major component of the world winners’ team, Liverpool moved quickly to sign Mac Allister. The transaction is under the execution from Liverpool’s previous sports director Julian Ward. Ward has since been replaced by Jörg Schmadtke.

The club’s longtime friendship with Mac Allister’s agent, Juan Gemelli, who was instrumental in bringing Philippe Coutinho to Liverpool from Internazionale in 2013, also aided the transfer.
