Ange Postecoglou will become the first Australian manager in the Premier League on July 1 following two years at Celtic. He won back-to-back Scottish Premiership championships and a domestic triple this season.

The coaching group under Postecoglou will soon revealed “in due course,” according to Spurs.

“Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play” Daniel Levy. Levy is the chairman of Tottenham Hotspur.

“He has a proven track record of developing players, as well as an understanding of the value of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our club.”

“We are excited to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead.”

Spurs spoke with Postecoglou, 57, on Monday after reaching an agreement with Celtic to bring him to north London.

Spurs examined Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi and Fulham head coach Marco Silva before settling on Postecoglou last week.

Postecoglou takes over as permanent Spurs manager from Antonio Conte, who was fired in March. Cristian Stellini, and then Ryan Mason, took over as acting head coach for the remainder of the season.

Postecoglou was convince to leave Glasgow by Celtic. But the former manager of Australia got excited with Tottenham’s offer.

Postecoglou stated, “I was given a fresh alternative that I wanted to investigate.
They want me to remain at Celtic for a longer period of time, and while I sympathize with their viewpoint, I was given a fresh chance.

The Scottish champions announced on Tuesday that the search for their next manager is “already underway.”

“While we will aim to announce this appointment to supporters as soon as possible, our priority will be to appoint the best candidate to take the club forward,” the statement said.
