Anthony Martial equals David Beckham’s goals record.

Anthony Martial forward has equaled the club’s former player, David Beckham’s, goals record at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Martial’s second-half goal against Nottingham Forest in the Red Devils’ 2-0 Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. It means the France international is now one of Manchester United’s top 25 all-time scorers, equaling Beckham’s tally of 85 goals for the club.

The 27-year-old was introduced just after the hour mark against Nottingham Forest. He played alongside Marcus Rashford and the returning Jadon Sancho, and he scored just 10 minutes later.

Rashford’s shot was deflected into his path by midfielder Casemiro which failed to hit the net. But Martial made no mistake in firing a left-footed strike into the bottom corner.

A goal from Anthony Martial made it 1-0 on the night at Old Trafford. It later ended by 4-0 on aggregate, in a game where chances were scarce.

However, another goal from midfielder Fred soon followed, and the game ended 2-0, setting up a Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United on Sunday, February 26.
