Antoine Griezmann is Back!
As Felix is on loan to Chelsea FC, Griezmann receives the number 7 shirt from Atletico Madrid. Felix will have to choose different kit number after his return to Spain.
Antoine Griezmann took the number 7 jersey at Atlético, where Joao Felix spent five seasons.
The Madrid club’s press staff released a film introducing the French striker’s new number.
Griezmann wore the number seven for the most of his career, spending four seasons at Real Sociedad and five seasons at Atlético Madrid before joining Barcelona. Antoine played his first season at the Catalan club as the 17th player, but then switched to the 7th, where he lasted two seasons.
Following Griezmann’s transfer to Barcelona, Joo Félix took over as Atlético’s number seven. Antoine spent time with the Portuguese for five seasons before playing the last two with the Rojiblancos as the number eight. He has now changed to his normal number, though.
It is uncertain what number Felix will wear for Atlético.

When Joao Felix went on loan to Chelsea, Antoine Griezmann took over the No. 7 jersey at Atletico Madrid, and Joao Felix no longer wears it.
Atleti, a powerhouse in La Liga, paid €126 million (£108 million/$137 million) to acquire the attacker from Portugal.
He has struggled to make an impression in the Spanish capital and was permitted to spend the second part of the 2022-23 season on loan at Stamford Bridge, where he managed four goals in 20 games. Felix’s future in Madrid is uncertain, and he will need to find a new squad number if he is to continue at Wanda Metropolitano after having his shirt awarded to World Cup champion Griezmann.
