Bryan Zaragoza | According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have started their January transfer business early and are set to complete the signing of Granada forward.
The 22-year-old will remain at Granada for the remainder of the season before joining Bayern in the summer for €15 million and signing a contract until 2028. RB Leipzig were interested in signing Bryan Zaragoza to replace the departing Emil Forsberg. However, Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund pushed for his signing.
Bayern’s second deal completed outside of the transfer window this year follows the signing of Nestory Irankunda from Adelaide in Australia last month.
Previously, Bayern rarely focused on signing young players and would look for more of the finished product under Freund’s predecessors, but with his first two signings, it is clear that Bayern are beginning to look towards the future.
