Busquets rejects Al Nassr’s €20 million annual offer

Busquets has turned down the opportunity to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr, turning down a €20 million offer from the Saudi Arabian club.

Busquets has said no to €20m a season to play for Al- Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Busquets is staying at Barcelona and he would probably have to accept shorter terms.

Al-Nassr were preparing a €13 million-a-year contract for the Spain international. The Saudi club offered Busquets roughly a third of Cristiano Ronaldo earning’s this season. The Arabian Gaints offer Barcelona captain around €20 million per term. The 34-year-old is said to have turned down these offers, with his future in the game uncertain.

Barcelona boss Xavi has been vocal in his wish to keep the seasoned midfielder at the club despite the fact that his contract is set to expire in the summer. And there has been no progress on a new one. David Beckam is also trying to sign Busquets for his MLS team Inter Miami. As of the reports, official offer is yet to come.

Al-Nassr appears to be putting together their own dream team on their end. The Saudi club has expressed interest in players like Eden Hazard. They are also keeping to sign Sergio Ramos and, Keylor Navas.

Following his appearance in Barcelona’s dominant Supercopa performance against rivals Real Madrid on Sunday, the veteran midfielder could play in another cup competition, the Copa del Rey, against Ceuta on Thursday.
