Joao Felix is set to join Chelsea FC in the Premier League after the Blues agreed to terms with the forward.

Chelsea has reached a verbal agreement to sign Joao Felix.
Chelsea have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Manchester United and Arsenal target Joao Felix.

Chelsea FC has formally agreed to sign Portugal international Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid. After beating out Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United, the Blues are likely to pay around €11 million (£9.7 million) to take Felix on loan for the rest of the season.

The move comes at a difficult time for the Blues. Graham Potter’s side has dropped to 10th place in the Premier League table. They are out of the FA Cup after losing to Manchester City in a 4-0 thrashing on Sunday. Chelsea has already made moves in the January transfer window, bringing in Davide Datro Fofana and Benoit Badiashile.

Felix has also struggled to live up to his €127 million (£112m/$135m) price tag at Atletico. The Portuguese forward has only scored four La Liga goals this season. Also, the Madrids have previously stated that a January departure was likely.
