FC Chelsea and Newcastle are battling for Brighton’s Moises Ciacedo

FC Chelsea are said to be competing Newcastle United with for Moises Caicedo this month.

Eddie Howe is interested in signing the Brighton midfielder as a replacement for the injured Jonjo Shelvey.

Caicedo is a possibility for Newcastle, though the Telegraph recently reported that a move to St James’ Park is considered unlikely by Toon officials. And, according to reports from Stamford Bridge, a transfer is even less likely.

FC Chelsea are considering an approach for the talented 21-year-old, according to the Daily Mail. They, too, have injury issues and have suffered greatly as a result of N’Golo Kante‘s absence.

The Blues, like Newcastle, are looking for a midfielder. They were heavily linked with World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez earlier in the transfer window, but he appears to be staying with Benfica.

This could lead to Chelsea turning to Caicedo and a reunion with Graham Potter.
