Chelsea wants to sign Xabi Alonso to replace Mauricio Pochettino

According to the French outlet Sports Zone, the Premier League club believes it is time to fire Pochettino following a dismal season. The Blues are currently 11th in the Premier League after losing again, this time against Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s recent setback against Wolves was their tenth Premier League loss in 23 games this season. With only 9 victories and four draws, Pochettino’s club is now closer to relegation than the league’s fourth-placed team.

According to Sports Zone, Chelsea’s owners may consider replacing the manager immediately. Behdad Eghbali is interested in bringing in the Spaniard right now and is contemplating Alonso, who is also wanted by Liverpool and Bayern Munich. Todd Boehly, on the other hand, may be less willing to make an immediate managerial change for the team.

Chelsea has surrendered more goals than it has scored this season. A negative goal difference after 23 games this season should cause concern among club management.
Pochettino has struggled to make a strong effect since entering last summer and bringing in a lot of new players.

The club’s only triumph this season has been reaching the Carabao Cup final. Thus, they have a mountain to climb with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool waiting for them.

The club needs a change, and the fans, who are frustrated, are loudly demanding it. After surrendering eight goals in their last two league games, it appears that neither attack nor defense has improved significantly.
