The 23-year-old, who joins Leeds following their relegation from the Premier League, is their second loan signing from Spurs after Joe Rodon, who also came on a season-long contract. He is their sixth summer addition.

In addition, the Whites have added Joel Piroe, Ethan Ampadu, Karl Darlow, and Sam Byram. They will go for preparation for their return to the Championship this season.

Djed Spence made ten appearances for Rennes in all competitions as they finished fourth in the French top tier. Despite the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham’s new manager, he was deemed surplus to requirements upon his return to North London.

The England Under-21 international will now spend the remainder of the 2023-24 season on loan at Elland Road as Leeds looks to quickly re-enter the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s team won their first league game of the season, a 4-3 thriller against Ipswich Town. They got out of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night by League Two Salford City.
