DRS Gaming, Nepali PUBG Mobile team, finished second in the 2022 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC 2022) grand finals, earning a cash prize of USD $200,000.
The three-day in-person tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia, concluded on January 8, 2023, with some of the best PUBG Mobile teams from around the world competing for a share of the $1.5 million prize pool.
DRS Gaming finished with 158 points after 70 eliminations and two chicken dinners (WWCD), trailing only the champion team S2G Esports from Turkey, which finished with 190 points after 93 eliminations and one chicken dinner. S2G Esports was awarded the trophy as well as a cash prize of $400,000.
With 156 points and 77 eliminations, the Brazilian team Alpha 7 finished third and took home a $120,000 prize. IHC Esports and GodLike Stalwart finished fourth and fifth, respectively. GodLike Stalwart earned 156 points for 77 eliminations but no chicken dinners, while IHC Esports earned 144 points for 74 eliminations and two chicken dinners.
Trained to Kill (T2K), another Nepali squad, also made it to the tournament’s grand finals, finishing in thirteenth place with 112 total points and a cash prize of $22,500.
