Eddie Nketiah | Mikel Arteta has decided on Nketiah’s future at Arsenal, despite interest from two Premier League clubs.

Eddie Nketiah: Arteta made a decision on the Forward's Future

The English forward, who has appeared in 23 games for the club across all competitions this season, will not be sold or loaned out during the upcoming January transfer window, according to The Sun, because Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta sees him as a key member of the squad.

In October, the Gunners manager told reporters, “He’s got an eye for goal.” You examine his statistics from the previous ten years. What he’s accomplished is remarkable. He requires time, opportunities, and service.

Eddie will undoubtedly score goals if he obtains this. He’s an excellent Arsenal player. Yes, he can improve. And the best part is not only his talent, but also his incredible mentality. He’ll get much better if he combines that mentality with that talent.”

According to The Sun, Nketiah has recently piqued the interest of Premier League clubs Brentford and Crystal Palace, while the north London club has been linked with a move for The Bees’ star forward Ivan Toney.

Even if Toney does join Arsenal, the Gunners will not let their 24-year-old leave because they will need a strong bench if they are to compete for the Premier League title in the second half of the season.

Arteta’s side will go into Christmas as league leaders after a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday. They will be back in action in the Premier League on Thursday when they host West Ham.
