Endrick, a new recruit of Real Madrid! In the last 24 hours, contracts and documents have been signed. The deal is now consisting.
Endrick will join Real Madrid in the summer of 2024
Real Madrid and Brazilian kid Endrick have come to an agreement, the two sides announced on Thursday, beating out a number of top European clubs interested in the prodigy.
The 16-year-old striker will sign with the European and LaLiga champions in July 2024 as a result of FIFA regulations that forbid minors from traveling overseas to play soccer.
Real reportedly defeated other elite teams that were vying for the young talent, including Paris St. Germain, Chelsea, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
Real Madrid and Palmeiras kept their agreement under wraps. But Brazilian media outlet Globo reported that it would be worth 70 million euros ($74.88 million). This would make the transfer the second-largest in the history of the Brazilian championship, trailing only the 88 million euros Barcelona reportedly paid for Neymar in 2013.
In an official statement posted on the Palmeiras website, Endrick said, “I want to thank Palmeiras for giving me everything I needed to become what I am today, for helping me to achieve several of my ambitions, and for respecting my wish and that of my family to make another dream come true.”
“I will continue to devote myself like I always have until I sign with Real Madrid in order to give Palmeiras even more on the field: more goals, more triumphs, more titles, and even greater happiness for our fans.”
Endrick will go to Real’s facilities in Spain the following week, the club announced. Brazil also signed another two youngsters, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.
Endrick, a star player from a young age, scored 170 goals in 176 games with the Palmeiras academy.
