Juve has made no calls to bring Chiellini back, but La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the defender may stay in the United States for another year to recharge his batteries before returning to Italy.

Chiellini played 561 games for Juventus and scored 36 goals, winning nine consecutive Scudetti. He also won five Italian Super Cups and five Italian Cups with the Old Lady.

In 2015 and 2017, he also reached the Champions League Final.

He led Italy to victory in the 2020 Euros at Wembley Stadium.
