ICC World Cup 2023 to have no Ceremony for the Opening

According to several sources, there would be no Opening Ceremony for the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023.

According to a report in the Outlook, the Indian Cricket Board, or BCCI, had originally scheduled an Opening Ceremony on October 4, a day before the World Cup’s first match.
The Opening Ceremony, however, has been canceled. Instead, the BCCI is preparing an event prior to the India vs. Pakistan World Cup match on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

On October 4, all ten captains of the participating teams appeared at the Captains Day ceremony, when they faced questions from Ravi Shastri, England’s World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan, and members of the press.

The World Cup begins with a rematch of the 2019 World Cup final, when reigning champions England face New Zealand at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
