Ilyes Housni of Paris Saint-Germain has joined Qatari club Al-Sadd Doha on a season-long loan.

Ilyes Housni joins Al-Sadd on Loan from PSG

Ilyes Housni is one of the most promising PSG players to come out of the club’s youth. He played 14 minutes of first-team football in two matches last season, although he was far more prominent in the UEFA Youth League, scoring eight goals and registering three assists in seven games.

Housni, on the other hand, requires more first-team experience. As a result, the France youth international has been loaned to Al-Sadd in Qatar.

Housni became the third player to relocate to Qatar in less than a week. Last week, Marco Verratti joined Al-Arabi for a rumoured €45 million fee, while Julian Draxler also moved ahead of Sunday’s deadline, joining Al-Ahli.

The German international was reportedly hesitant to join the Qatari club, but opted to sign ahead of the deadline. PSG reportedly paid between €8 million and €9 million for Draxler, who spent last season on loan at Benfica. Housni, on the other hand, will return to the Parc des Princes at the end of the season, unlike Verratti and Draxler.
