Jeremie Frimpong has signed a new long-term contract with Leverkusen.
Jeremie Frimpong’s contract at Bayer 04 Leverkusen has been extended.
The 22-year-old Dutch winger has extended his contract with the Bundesliga club until 2028.
Frimpong has been linked with a number of big teams after establishing himself as a vital player for Die Werkself following his January 2021 move from Celtic.
Nonetheless, the 22-year-old has decided to sign a long-term contract with Leverkusen, much to the satisfaction of the club’s managing director for sport, Simon Rolfes.
“Jeremie Frimpong has not just been a popular figure in our squad over the last few years. As an attacking right-back, he is currently one of the finest players in the Bundesliga. “The contract extension emphasizes Jeremie’s importance to our Werkself,” Rolfes added.
Jeremie Frimpong stated that he has come a long way since moving to Germany from Celtic.
“A lot has happened since then; we’ve had amazing experiences and have steadily improved as a team.” It’s a lot of fun to be a part of this group.”
The 22-year-old has appeared in 103 games for Bayer 04, scoring 13 goals and assisting on 23 others.
