Jude Bellingham (born 29 June 2003 in Stourbridge) is a new Real Madrid player. One of the most talented players in the world, a midfielder who joins us from Borussia Dortmund after being named the best player in the Bundesliga 2022/23. The 19-year-old England international is already a frequent starter.

After three seasons in Germany, Bellingham joins Carlo Ancelotti’s team. In the most recent of these, he had his highest scoring season with Borussia Dortmund (14 goals in all competitions). He scored on his debut for the German club in September 2020, making him the club’s youngest scorer (17 years and 77 days). That season, he started the German Cup final, which Borussia Dortmund won.

Following his senior international debut in November 2020, Bellingham was selected to play for England at Euro 2020, where they became runners-up. He also appeared and scored in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Early in one’s career
Bellingham came up through Birmingham City’s youth system before moving to Germany. In August 2019, he became the club’s youngest player (16 years and 38 days) to make his debut and score (16 years and 63 days). Birmingham said that the number 22 shirt would be retired in his honor after his departure from the English club in July 2020.

Bellingham was at the top of his abilities for England during the World Cup. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti offered his input on where he stands as one of the world’s best young midfielders.

“Bellingham is one of them,” remarked the Italian. “But I’ll stick with my midfielders, who are very good, especially the youngsters.”

Despite Bellingham being one of the most sought-after midfielders ahead of the summer transfer window, it served as a reminder that Real Madrid are a team with lots of pedigree in that position.
