Kante and Chelsea FC are nearling sign contract extension agreement.

N'GOLO KANTÉ AND CHELSEA NEARING HAVE AGREED TO EXTEND THEIR CONTRACT.

N’Golo Kanté, the midfielder and Chelsea are close to reaching an agreement on a contract extension following months of talks. The French international’s response is being awaited by the club.

Kante is free to speak with other teams for transfer move. It is because of his contract with the London club is slated to end this summer. Al-Nassr, the Saudi Arabian club that recently recruited Cristiano Ronaldo, is reportedly interested in making a move for the midfielder. But no offer has yet been made.

Kanté has apparently set his sights on staying in London and has been linked to both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, two Premier League rivals.

However, Chelsea has suddenly made Kanté an offer that is more in line with the player’s wishes after months of deadlock and what appeared to be a dead end in the negotiations. The offered compensation is more in line with what Kanté is now making after other appearance-related bonuses. The new agreement might be in effect until 2026. Chelsea is anxious to finalize the transaction and is awaiting Kanté’s reply. The athlete has requested a few extra days to think about the offer.
