Lamine Yamal is the 2023 Golden Boy The Youngest winner

Barcelona missed out on a hat-trick of Golden Boy Award wins after Pedri and Gavi won in 2021 and 2022, respectively, as Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham won the award this year.

However, the Blaugrana were not left empty-handed at the Golden Boy Awards, as Lamine Yamal, a teenage prodigy, was awarded ‘The Youngest’ award.

The European Golden Boy ‘The Youngest’ honors the youngest footballer ever to reach the award’s podium.

Yamal received the award after making the final list of Golden Boy nominees at the age of 16, thanks to his exploits with Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

Yamal, who made his senior debut at the end of last season, has established himself as a first-team regular under Xavi and even scored his first goal for Barça.

The young winger has also broken into the Spanish national team, where he has scored two goals in three games.

It’s incredible to think that Yamal could be nominated for the Golden Boy award for the next four years, and it’s only natural to believe that he’ll win it in the coming years.

Meanwhile, Aitana Bonmati of Barcelona Femeni won the Golden Player Woman Award for 2023.
