Marcus Thuram will undergo a medical test for Inter Milan

According to today’s print edition of Milan-based publication Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, the 25-year-old French international will be in Milan tomorrow to finalize his move from Borussia Monchengladbach to the Nerazzurri.

Inter has won the race to sign Thuram, barring any last-minute shocks.

Inter’s pursuit of Gladbach striker Thuram has been tortuous.

The Nerazzurri were said to be extremely close to signing the Frenchman in 2021. However, a knee injury forced them to abandon the player and sign Joaquin Correa from Lazio instead.

Thuram’s availability on a free transfer this summer, though, piqued their attention again.

Thuram’s signing brings the Nerazzurri’s task to a close.

According to reports, the Frenchman, who featured as a substitute for Les Bleus in the World Cup final, has already spoken with Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi.

Thuram admires Inter’s tactical structure. He has discussed his position in a 3-5-2 system with Inzaghi over the phone.

Before Making a Big Move to Inter Milan
Thuram, on the other hand, is not yet an Inter player, at least not officially.

According to reports, the 25-year-old has made up his mind but must now complete the purchase.

The Gazzetta claims that everything will be done before it goes public today. Thuram will go to Milan to finish his medical checks and final paperwork.

All of the contracts are ready to be signed, and the Frenchman will then make it official. He will join with Inter for next season, after which the club will make an announcement.

Inter fought over Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United to sign Thuram.

Thuram has appeared in 134 games for Gladbach over the previous four seasons, scoring 44 goals. Les Bleus have also capped the Frenchman eleven times.
