Memo Ochoa to leave U.S. Salernitana for free

Mexico international goalkeeper Memo Ochoa may stay in Serie A but will be free to leave Salernitana at the end of the season.

The great will turn 39 in July, and while his contract goes until June 2025, there is a clause that allows him to leave for free at the end of the season in the event of relegation.

Since they are currently 11 points outside of the safety zone, that is nearly certain.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that Salernitana has already given the go-ahead to allow Ochoa leave for free in the summer.

Despite his senior age, the shot-stopper appears to have no intention of retiring and may probably stay in Serie A.

The five-time World Cup competitor surprised everyone in January 2023 by signing a free contract with Salernitana from Club America.

He made 40 appearances for the club, keeping five clean sheets and allowing a staggering 75 goals.

Ochoa has earned 148 senior caps for Mexico.

Memo Ochoa becomes available to Saudi Pro League clubs

According to reports, numerous mid- and bottom-table Saudi Professional League clubs would be wise to consider signing the well-known, seasoned Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, as he has experience.

The transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has stated that “Memo” will become a free agent and depart Salernitana at the end of the current campaign.
