Nepal will host Namibia and Scotland in a Tri-Series match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 from February 14 to 21 at the TU cricket ground in Kirtipur. Cricket Association Nepal (CAN) has already announced the match schedule for the League.
In the World Cup League-2, Nepal will organize a triangular series with Namibia and Scotland. Nepal will host Namibia and Scotland for League matches in the series. The tournament is going to play at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur from February 14 to February 21.
This is Nepal’s seventh League-2 series. Nepal’s first match will be against Namibia on February 14. Namibia will play Scotland on February 15 as Nepal will play Scotland on February 17. After that matches, Namibia will play Scotland on February 18 and February 20. Similarly, Nepal will play Scotland on February 21. Nepal will host the League-2 match for the second time this year. Nepal organized a triangular series with America and Oman in February 2020. Nepali Team will host three League-2 series. The Nepal, UAE, and Papua New Guinea series is helding in Kathmandu in March. Team Nepal will then travel to Papua New Guinea for a League-2 series. That will include the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for next match-up.
Nepal is in a bad League-2 position. Nepal has only 18 points after 24 matches in the seven-nation League-2, with 8 victories. According to one equation, Nepal can keep its one-day international status if it wins 9 of its remaining 12 League-2 matches.
