Olympique de Marseille and Inter Milan have begun talks about a trade for Joaquin Correa.
Olympique de Marseille are examining other options to replace Alexis Sánchez. Sanchez is Marseille’s top scorer last season, after failing to extend his contract for another year.
The Ligue 1 team has spoken with the Argentine’s agent and named Inter forward Joaqun Correa as a potential replacement, claims Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The two teams have yet to hold talks. Meanwhile, Sánchez is close to returning to Milan, only a year after leaving on a free transfer to France.
Lille is also interested in Correa, who permanently switched from Lazio to Inter last summer. Marseille is also interested, according to the French daily.
Despite signing for €27 million, the 29-year-old only scored four goals in the Champions League finals last year, and he was an unused substitute in the Nerazzurri’s season opener against Monza.
