Paul Pogba injury

Paul Pogba got off the field with an injury just 23 minutes into his second stint at Juventus.

The former Manchester United midfielder joined Juventus in the summer but has been out with injury for the bulk of the season. Pogba did not make his Juventus debut until late February.

Pogba has made an increasing number of substitute appearances in the previous four months, but he had to leave the field with a muscular injury just 23 minutes into the game against Cremonese on Sunday night.

He collapsed on the field and buried his face in his hands before being replaced. Pogba appeared to be agitated and had his shirt pulled over his head.

On Monday, Pogba will have a scan at Juventus’ J Medical center.

Paul Pogba was replaced by Arkadiusz Milik by Massimiliano Allegri.

“I needed him as an added striker,” Allegri remarked of Pogba after the game. “In such cases, you have to pray that nothing bad happens. I had to attempt (and start him) sooner or later.

“We’re all sorry; he was also doing well, and we were struggling to find positions without him.” He felt agony and knew he’d have to halt again.

“We’re all devastated, but Paul has big shoulders, and we’ll wait for him.”

Juventus are second in Serie A after their point deduction was reversed. They’re also in the Europa League semi-finals and want to qualify for the Champions League next season through either route.

Paul Pogba suffered injury again

It was another setback for France and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who was hurt yet again while starting his first game in 390 days. Pogba, making his first start for Juventus since his comeback, was forced off with an injury during the first half of the Italian club’s match against Cremonese.

Pogba left the pitch in tears, clutching his left quadriceps following a cross in the opponent’s penalty area. The club’s medical team treated his left thigh on the field. Pogba exited the field with his face covered by his shirt, to the acclaim of the Juventus Stadium fans.
