Paulo Dybala confirms his stay at AS Roma

Roma forward Paulo Dybala has stated that he has no desire to join Chelsea this summer.
Argentina international abandoned his lengthy affiliation with Juventus in 2022 to join Stadio Olimpico on a free transfer.

Dybala had a good year, scoring 18 goals and providing eight assists in 38 games across all competitions.

However, Roma finished sixth in Serie A and lost the Europa League final on penalties to Sevilla. As a result, they are no longer eligible to qualify for the Champions League.

Although there had been no indication that Dyabala was considering switching teams, his contract’s release provisions made it inevitable that rumors would spread.

The dynamic attacker is now available for €12 million (£10.26 million), despite the fact that Italian teams would need to spend more to get a player from their competitors.

This has led to significant ties with Chelsea, who, in addition to needing more players in the final third, now have a head coach in Mauricio Pochettino who is a fan of his compatriot.

Dybala has denied reports linking him to a transfer to the Premier League. He also stated that he would rather remain in the Italian capital.

Paulo Dybala refused to join the English Club

Dybala told LaRoma24, “I’m motivated for pre-season, which we start [on Monday].” What about my future? I’m content at Roma. “I’ll be staying here.”

Jose Mourinho will be extremely reassured by Dybala’s remarks since he is operating under FFP limitations. He has already lost Tammy Abraham for the first half of the season owing to a major knee injury.

Despite the arrivals of Evan Ndicka, Diego Llorente, and Houssem Aouar, Mourinho has yet to bolster his midfield.

Before a season without continental play, Chelsea would have given buying Dybala some attention when they already had six trustworthy alternatives in the final third.

Pochettino presently has Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, and Armando Broja at his disposal.
