Phil Foden has been selected as the EA Sports Premier League’s 2023/2024 Player of the Season. SportsRation publishes reports.
Phil Foden’s outstanding season has seen him make great progress as a part of the star-studded City team. Earlier this month, the English midfielder, 23, was named Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.
Foden has a career-high 17 goals and eight assists in the Premier League this season, leading up to Manchester City’s last game on Sunday.
Reacting to his latest accomplishment on Saturday, May 18, 2024, Phi Foden said, “To win this award is an achievement that I am extremely proud of.”
“The Premier League is acknowledged as the greatest league in the world, and it is a pleasure to have been nominated with so many other great players who have all enjoyed special seasons for their clubs.”
Only Erling Haaland (27) has more league goals than Foden for City, who will win a record fourth consecutive English crown if they defeat West Ham at home on Sunday.
“Overall, I’ve been very happy with the way I have played this season and really pleased that I have been able to contribute with the goals and assists throughout the season,” Foden said.
“I’d like to thank the entire City staff, coaches, and, most importantly, my teammates, because this would not have been possible without them. And I’d like to use this chance to thank everyone who voted for me; the honor means a lot.”
