Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has agreed to join Marseille from Chelsea. The Gabonese attacker is likely to leave West London for the south of France, with no fee exchanged between the teams.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will join OM on a three-year contract that will extend until 2026. The former Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund attacker is due to arrive at Marseille’s training camp in Germany on Wednesday evening. The 34-year-old will next face medical testing on Thursday before finalizing his transfer. The he will be introduced as a new player for Les Olympiens.
The Gabonese skipper has fallen out of favor with the Blues since his arrival, with Thomas Tuchel, the man who brought him to the club, dismissed shortly after his debut. Aubameyang had already drawn interest from the MLS and Saudi Arabia, but will now return to France with OM. The attacker has returned to Ligue 1 after last appearing for Saint-Étienne in 2013.
