Defending champions India took over Nepal again with a demolition of 4 goals in Colombo and succeeded in taking the title home.
Team Nepal wore red while India was in blue. Nepal defeated the hosts Sri Lanka in the semi-finals by a score of 6 goals to advance to the final, while India defeated Bangladesh by a score of 2-1 to advance to the final.
