Saka, the England international forward, has signed a new long-term deal.

Since joining the team at the age of eight, Saka has advanced from our academy to the first team. This season, he made his place as one of the best players in the country with yet another fantastic performance.

The 21-year-old, who has been in every single one of our Premier League matches over the last two seasons, has scored 14 goals in all competitions in 2022/23, including 11 assists, surpassing his previous record of 12 goals. His outstanding improvement and continuous great performances have culminated in a total of 178 first-team appearances.

Bukayo was voted Player of the Season for 2020/21 and 2021/22. He is the first player to do so since Thierry Henry in 2005. This season, he won Premier League Player of the Month for March. He also won Young Player of the Year at the London Football Awards. He has also been nominated for Premier League Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season this season.

Bukayo, who made his first team debut in the Europa League at the age of 17, also became the first player born in the twenty-first century to appear in a Premier League match when he came in as a substitute in our 4-1 home win over Fulham on New Year’s Day 2019.

Saka signed new contract with Arsenal

Bukayo made his senior international debut in October 2020 after representing England at youth level. He was one of the stars of Euro 2020. He become the Three Lions’ youngest player ever to play in a major final, as they defeated Italy at Wembley.

Bukayo now has 26 international caps. He was also a vital part of England’s World Cup squad in Qatar in 2022.

“It has been so enjoyable working with everyone to extend Bukayo’s contract,” stated Sporting Director Edu. Working hard with Bukayo and witnessing his incredible rise from our youth to our first squad is a very gratifying time for all of us at the club.

“Bukayo has now developed into one of the game’s best young players, and we’re looking forward to sharing this next stage of his career with him.”

“It’s great for the club that Bukayo has extended his contract,” Mikel Arteta remarked. Retaining our finest young players is critical to our sustained success, and Bukayo is an integral component of our team today and in the future.

“Aside from being a fantastic talent, Bukayo is a special person, he’s loved by all of us, and he is a credit to himself and his family for the hard work and dedication they’ve all put in to get to this level today.” We, along with our supporters, are looking forward to Bukayo’s ongoing development with us in the next years.”

Bukayo’s new contract is subject to the successful conclusion of regulatory procedures.
