Thomas Partey Transfer Update

Arsenal are reportedly planning to trade Thomas Partey this summer.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined the Gunners in 2020 for £45 million from Atletico Madrid.

He quickly became a fan favourite at the Emirates, but the Ghana international has made few appearances this season owing to injuries.

Partey was deployed at right back for the first three games of the season, but has only appeared once thereafter.

The celebrity has been out since October due to thigh surgery.

He had previously missed the full month of September due to a groin issue.

Partey recently flew to Dubai with the rest of Arsenal’s team for a warm-weather training camp, having finally been cleared to return.

However, he received another injury setback last week, with manager Mikel Arteta revealing before their 3-1 triumph over Liverpool that their star is certain to miss further games.

He explained: “With Thomas, we experienced a minor setback a few days ago.

“I’m not a doctor, but he felt something in a very similar area and he wasn’t able to train the last few days.”

Thomas Partey is nearing the finish of his Arsenal career

According to the Daily Mirror, his days in North London appear to be over.

According to reports, after failing to overcome persistent injury worries, Partey appears likely depart Arsenal at the end of the season.

Arteta was open to selling Partey once Declan Rice arrived in July.

But they did not obtain a sufficient bid.

Juventus are now said to be showing interset in signing him. Thus, they decided against making a deal last month due to his recent injury.
