UEFA EURO Championship 2028

The United Kingdom and Ireland will host Euro 2028, while Turkey and Italy will host in 2032.

The UEFA executive committee approved the five-nation offer, which went unopposed after Turkey withdrew last week to focus on its joint bid for Euro 2032 with Italy.

The UK-Ireland proposal submission in April featured ten stadiums. Six of the locations are in England, with one from Northern Ireland, one from the Republic of Ireland, one from Scotland, and one from Wales.

The event will take place in June and July of 2028, exactly seven years after England and Scotland hosted games during the re-arranged competition, which took place across Europe.

“We’re delighted,” FA chief executive Mark Bullingham told Sky Sports. It’s taken three years of hard work to get here. It’s terrific for us and the country, as well as for the home nations and Ireland. We’re pretty excited about it.

“We worked really hard to put together a really strong bid and we think that’s probably the reason we were unopposed in the end.”

UEFA expects Euro 2028 to generate more revenue than any other big tournament, including Euro 2032.
