Victor Osimhen seems very furious regarding the recent Tiktok video uploaded by #napoli.
According to Osimhen’s lawyer, the player may sue Napoli after a video ridiculing his penalty miss was released and then deleted from the club’s TikTok account.
Victor Osimhen, a Napoli striker, is reserving “the right to take legal action” against his own club after a peculiar video allegedly insulting the player was released and then withdrawn from the Serie A club’s official TikTok account.
Roberto Calenda, the Nigerian striker’s agent, stated on X, formerly Twitter, that the video did “very serious damage to the player.”
“What happened today on Napoli’s official TikTok profile is unacceptable.” “A video mocking Victor was initially made public and then, belatedly, deleted,” Calenda said in a statement on Tuesday.
“We reserve the right to take legal action and any other useful initiative to protect Victor.”
Osimhen missed a late penalty in a goalless draw against Bologna in Serie A on Sunday, and the video contained a footage of the striker’s penalty failure overlaid with an unusual, sped-up voice.
Victor Osimhen | Stats
Osimhen led the Italian squad to its first league triumph in three decades last season. Osimhen made record of 31 goals across all competitions last season.
After it appeared like Osimhen and Napoli manager Garcia were bickering during the game, the weird social media video surfaced.
The 24-year-old striker was seen berating Garcia after being substituted with four minutes remaining in the 0-0 draw.
Garcia told reporters after the game, “Even the greatest players in football history miss penalties.” When he went off, we discussed it; what I say to my guys stays in the locker room.”
Osimhen, who piqued Manchester United’s interest this summer, refused to sign a new contract with the Italian club.
Champions Napoli are eighth in the table and host Udinese on Wednesday.
