West Ham United wants £120 million for Declan Rice

West Ham United will allow Declan Rice to leave this summer if a Champions League club offers £120 million.

West Ham would also accept £100 million plus a player for the midfielder, with the club already receiving interest in him.

Arsenal is currently his most likely destination. But Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool have also expressed interest in the England international.

Rice’s contract will expire in two years this summer. But West Ham have the option to extend it by another year. He turned down a new £200,000-a-week contract offer 18 months ago.

West Ham will only sell if the price is right. Any proceeds will be used to strengthen the squad in the summer.

West Ham have promised not to stand in the way of Rice’s dream of playing in the Champions League if a suitable offer is made out of respect for Rice and recognition of his performances during six seasons in the first team.

Rice may be earning around £70,000 per week, and if he moves this summer. He is likely to earn at least three times that amount.

West Ham believe Rice is one of the best midfielders in the world, has an excellent injury record, and is only 24 years old.

West Ham United asking HIGH PRICE for RICE: Gary Neville

Gary Neville believes Rice is only worth half of the £120 million asking price at West Ham.

“I love Declan Rice,” Neville said. “Obviously, Declan knows the position, but when I look at world-class holding midfielders and players of that type, he falls into the category of more of a destroyer because he doesn’t score or assist enough goals.”
