Adidas and FC Bayern Munich reveal new red and white home kit for 2022-23 season.
Adidas and FC Bayern München home jersey for the 2023-24 season, highlighting the club’s special relationship with red and white.
By revisiting the history and modernizing it for the 2023 season, the shirt reinterprets the classic colours that define the club’s character and dedication. The shirt’s generally pristine white base is kitted out with dramatic deep crimson sleeves, a tribute to the team’s first home uniform worn during the club’s maiden season in Germany’s top flight. The inside of the collar completes the design story with the inscription “Rot & Weiß ein Leben lang” – translated to “red & white for life” – a reference to one of the club’s statutes requiring home kits to be red and white.
To elevate the story and demonstrate that Munich is red and white, adidas and the club are teaming up with the Superbloom Festival (taking place on the 2nd and 3rd of September) in the Bavarian capital to highlight FC Bayern München’s connection to its colors as well as the city of Munich.

The on-field version of the jersey is made of cool fabrics and textures, adidas HEAT.RDY has been designed to keep you comfy. The replica jersey, on the other hand, has AEROREADY technology, which employs sweat-wicking or absorbent fabrics to keep the body dry.

FC Bayern München striker and club legend Thomas Müller stated, “The colors red and white have always been with me.” The new home shirt, with its historic style, represents FC Bayern Munich’s success narrative.”
Lina Magull, an FC Bayern München athlete, says, “When you think of FC Bayern, images of red and white immediately come to mind.” My room was decked in these colors when I was a kid, and it’s a dream come true to be able to wear them on the field. The new jersey mixes tradition and beauty, and we want to give these colors right.”
Both variants of the new jersey are constructed entirely of recycled polyester, demonstrating adidas’ continual commitment to reducing plastic waste. adidas declared earlier this year that it is on track to replace virgin polyester with recycled polyester in its goods wherever possible by the end of 2024.
The home jersey will be worn for the first time on the pitch against RB Leipzig on May 20th, and it will be available for purchase through FC Bayern München outlets beginning on May 17th.
