adidas Y-3 and Real Madrid Unveil a Purple Fourth Kit

After launching a combined travel line earlier this year, two heavyweights, on and off the pitch, reunite once more as Y-3 and Real Madrid unveil their collaborative Matchwear collection.

Y-3 and Real Madrid’s new premium series combines elegance and heritage, bringing together fashion and the peak of sport.

The artistic vision is centered on a characteristic rose motif inspired by the early days of adidas’ association with Yohji Yamamoto, when roses were the graphic of choice and became the renowned Japanese fashion designer’s iconic signature.

The collection is headlined by a purple 4th uniform for both the Real Madrid Men’s and Women’s teams, which features moisture-wicking HEAT.RDY technology to keep players dry while performing on the largest platform.

The Matchwear kit combines story and identity through Real Madrid’s colors, with purple playing a major role in the club’s DNA. In addition to the fourth uniform, the collection includes two goalkeeper outfits, one in black and one in orange, as well as a white pre-match outfit consisting of a top, shorts, and an anthem jacket.

From the pitch to the stands, Y-3 has crafted a collection of exceptional fanwear pieces that perfectly represent the label’s expertise, including a T-shirt, hoodie, cross-body bag, cap, and scarf.

Along with the collection, Y-3 and adidas will release a limited edition Predator boot and Goalkeeper gloves.

Gabriel Moses, a London-based photographer, is shooting a promotional photo campaign for the collection.

The dynamic images include current Real Madrid legends such as Naomie Feller, Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, and Misa Rodríguez, reimagining the club’s unrivaled sporting past.
