Angers SCO made an official announcement about sacking the manager in their official twitter account.

Angers SCO officially announced the dismissal of manager Gérald Baticle this afternoon, nearly a month to the day following his suspension and temporary replacement by Abdel Bouhazama.

Le SCO had a strong start to the previous year, which included a convincing 3-0 victory against Lyon, but their play has deteriorated this past year, and they are currently at the bottom of Ligue 1.

The lengthy Lyon assistant’s agreement is due to end at the end of the 2024–2025 season. The team had a run of seven straight losses going into the international break, with their only win in the entire season coming against Nice in the middle of September.

The western team returns to play on Wednesday with a trip to Ajaccio, setting up a second half of the season in which they may continue to struggle because Sofiane Boufal and Azzedine Ounahi appear to be leaving after their performances for Morocco at the World Cup.
