Axel Disasi to replace Ibrahima Konate

Axel Disasi to replace injured Ibrahima Kontate in France Squad

Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté has been forced to withdraw from France’s squad. Chelsea’s Axel Disasi has taken his place for the national team.

Konaté suffered a minor hamstring injury during Liverpool’s UEFA Europa League loss to Toulouse FC on Thursday. As a result, he was unable to play in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Brentford on Sunday. According to Hawkins, he will also miss France’s games against Gibraltar and Greece. Konaté will need two weeks to recover fully.

During the previous international break, Jürgen Klopp criticized Didier Deschamps’ management of Konaté. The Liverpool manager felt that his player had been overworked during the international break. Disasi, who had previously been overlooked for the squad, will take his place. The former AS Monaco center-back started Chelsea’s thrilling 4-4 draw with Manchester City on Sunday and will now travel to Clairefontaine to join his France teammates.

Axel Disasi called up to France National to replace Konaté

The international break has returned. Didier Deschamps’ players who have been called up to play against Gibraltar and Greece will travel to Clairefontaine on Monday. Ibrahima Konaté, the Liverpool defender, will be absent from this match.

Due to an injury, the Reds defender was forced to withdraw. The 24-year-old defender has a minor hamstring muscle injury.

His injury will keep him out of the game for the next two weeks. Axel Disasi of Chelsea is thus called upon to fill in at the back.

An absence that will reshuffle the defense’s deck. Didier Deschamps is likely to field a central pivot of Dayot Upamecano and Lucas Hernandez against Gibraltar on November 18 at the Allianz Riviera in Nice.
