Barcelona announces the release of a new white away uniform for the 2023–24 campaign.
Given its relationship with Real Madrid, the hue is undoubtedly a controversial decision. Barcelona has so made it known that a club icon served as its inspiration.
Today’s preseason match against Arsenal will mark the debut of the new outfit, which includes blue shorts and blaugrana socks.

FC Barcelona announced their second uniform for the 2023–24 campaign, which honors Johan Cruyff, the architect of Barça’s playing philosophy, with a cutting-edge design. Based on the blaugranes’ second uniform from the 1970s, the jersey is primarily white with red and blue stripes on the sleeve cuffs.
This kit was inspired by Cruyff, a trailblazer, just as the first one was by the Barça Women’s team. That team played its inaugural match at Camp Nou in 1970.
Barcelona goes on to note that this isn’t the first time the team has worn white, citing players like “Alcántara, Samitier, César, and Kubala” who have all been spotted in the color throughout their time at the club.
